Kathleen Elizabeth "Kathy" Hilton (née Avanzino, later Richards; born March 13, 1959) is an American actress. She is the mother of Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton.

Hilton was born in Whittier, California[1][2] to Laurence K. Avanzino and Kathleen Dugan (1933–2002).[3][4] Her parents later divorced, and her mother remarried Kenneth E. Richards. Her maternal half-siblings are the actresses Kim and Kyle Richards. She has five half-siblings from her father's marriage.
She met Hilton Hotel heir Richard Hilton at the age of 15. The couple married in 1979.[5] Rick and Kathy Hilton have four children: daughters Paris Hilton (b. 1981) and Nicholai "Nicky" Hilton (b. 1983), and sons Barron Hilton II (b. 1989) and Conrad Hughes Hilton III (b. 1994).
Hilton was very close friends with American pop star Michael Jackson since her school days. She attended his funeral in 2009.
In 1968, she began her career as an actress, a position which she eventually retired from in 1974. Notable appearances include Bewitched, Family Affair, Happy Days, The Rockford Files, and The Dark. At the age of 17, she was one of two final candidates to play the role of Jan Brady for The Brady Bunch Hour. Eve Plumb refused to reprise her role, but Geri Reischl eventually won the role as "fake Jan."
She debuted with 2002 merchandise sales on cable TV's QVC home shopping network, followed by her hosting of the 2005 reality show, I Want To Be a Hilton on NBC.
In 2007, Hilton began selling a signature skincare line on HSN.
On the May 13, 2008 episode of The Young and the Restless, she made a guest appearance as herself.
